Applications > Municipal The scope of use for Spirafix^TM ground anchors in local authority applications is extremely wide. Uses have ranged from the fixing of ground mounted litter and recycling bins to street furniture. Most of the Spirafix^TM A type ground anchors can also be used in tarmac, providing a pilot hole is drilled to approximately half the diameter of the anchor and to a depth that penetrates to the compacted aggregate under the tarmac. Once in, they give an extremely strong fixing that is far superior to expansion bolts or chemical anchors.
