Tried...
"The kit was certainly extremely easy to install. I have used it to secure a kids double swing and slide. My only other option,
after trying the pegs that came with the swing, was to dig large holes in the lawn and concrete the pegs into place. I have been
putting this off for quite some time now, and the swing has been unusable in the meantime. Twenty minutes work installing the
Spirafix kit has completely secured the apparatus. With both children swinging at the same time it doesn't even move an inch. -
Fantastic !! Once again many thanks for all your help. First class service !!

"Four years ago you installed Spirafix anchors to secure our five-a-side goal posts and I am pleased to say that they have been a
great success. We have had no problems whatsoever with either the anchors or the goalposts as they have remained as firmly
fixed as the day you installed them, no mean feat given that our field is open to the public at all times and is very heavily used
by children of all ages."

and tested...
In an independent pull-out test carried out by Harrod UK Limited comparing a "U" peg, a helical auger plate-type anchor and a
standard SpirafixTM it was found that at a full depth of 600mm the SpirafixTM exceeded the test rig limit of 600kg. Tests have also
been carried out at Silsoe College, Cranfield University in their soils bin on our spiral wound bar and we have conducted a series
of our own tests. The results have been used to compile the load curves shown on our Load Chart
If you have any applications that you would like to discuss, then why not give us a call. We would be more than happy to talk to
you about them.
The SpirafixTM is, without question, the most versatile
ground anchoring system yet devised. It has been
used for an extremely wide range of applications,
from all types of outdoor play and sports equipment,
to the fixing of sheds, decking, planters,
greenhouses, polytunnels, outdoor furniture, etc.. It
can also be used for tethering applications such as
inflatables, dinghies and boats, newly planted trees
and many other uses. Just drive it into the ground
using a hammer, fix the appropriate bracket and
screws and hey presto, job done! The amazing thing
about this anchor is the ease with which it can be
installed (due to its narrow cross section) and the
high force needed to break it out of the ground. To
remove them simply unscrew them using any
appropriate sized spanner.
“A” Type Head
This anchor has a head that is threaded, M10 for the 30mm diameter anchors, M12 for the 40mm and
M16 for the 50mm. It is generally more suited for more permanent installations and gives a rigid
connection between the head, bracket and whatever it is fixed to. It does, however, take a little longer
to install due to the bolted connections. It has a wide variety of suitable applications and can also be
used for tethering purposes.
The “C” type head is suited for applications that need an anchor to be installed and removed
repeatedly and is therefore ideal for structures at events. It must be used with one of the slotted
brackets attached to whatever is being fixed to the ground. The end of the anchor is placed through
the slot and is then driven into the ground. Once the underside of the head has reached the bracket it
traps it in place. Any upwards movement by the structure will want to pull the anchor back out of the
ground. However, because it is unable to rotate and therefore unscrew itself, it cannot do this without
breaking out of the ground.
