A simple yet effective anchor to hold any item used for outdoor play equipment, kennels, sheds, benches,
and fasteners suitable for timber and metal sections (M10 x 50mm long coachscrew for timber and M10 x
80mm long set screw for metal sections, including tube, cut length to suit).
Fit the bracket at the bottom of the section (see diagram below) using the the appropriate screws
supplied. Place the end of the anchor through the slot in the bracket and using a hammer, drive it into the
ground. As the anchor travels down it will turn on its helix until the underside of the head touches the
bracket.
SpirafixTM anchors are heat treated for corrosion resistance and extra strength. Anchor length is 48cms from
the underside of the bracket and 4cms wide. They are capable of holding between 250 kgs to 450 kgs
depending on the soil conditions. They are not suitable for sandy soils that have low cohesive properties.
These ground anchors can be removed by using an adjustable spanner or vice grips attached to the head
and unscrewing them.
