Embankment Stabilisation

What works:

Spirafix Ground Anchors are an incredibly versatile set of products and are manufactured in a wide range of sizes to suit a wide range of projects. Much success has been had with embankment stabilisation.
We offer an easy solution to a challenging situation using ground anchors, mesh and slotted plates. As soil nails go - Spirafix are easy to install and can be used as piles and mini piles for bank retention jobs big and small.

How to install:

The 50mm Spirafix Ground Anchor range is easily the most versatile option for using on any type of embankment stabilisation project. The anchors are installed though slotted plates which secure the mesh into place. The slotted plates are held in place using the anchor head which alleviates the need for any additional pieces.
Simply drive the anchors, or soil nails, down into position using a hand held petrol post driver or similar - set to impact. These earth anchors drive down into position on their own helix. They are not 'screwed' into place.

Always protect the anchor head using a hammer cap.
