Client: Glyndebourne Productions
Initial brief was to install anchors for the outdoor staging structure with the aim to provide a counter balance for the the stage to be secure in a variant of weather conditions.
Challenges
Achieving the required loads ensuring the structure would be capable of withstanding the max wind speeds was the remit for spirafix anchors. These loads were determined by a structural engineer which allowed both Spirafix and Glynbourne to proceed with specification of the structure and anchoring system
Solution
16 number SF50-10-0840C type anchors along with the Spirafix SA693 scaffold bracket were installed after pull testing confirmed the required loads had been met. Spirafix site team complete the anchor installation allowing Glyndebourne productions to complete their scaffolding structure on time for their dress rehearsal.
