Spirafix task was to look at solutions to secure an art feature in College Green in Bristol, with minimal disturbance to the ground and asesthic compromise. The first step to understanding the clients requirements was load testing of the site location.
Following these results the client Shape Studio was able to choose the best size anchor for the insatllation of the art feature.
Challenges
Integral to this project was to understand if any underground services were present, which are very prevelant in an Urban environement . Once the site was cleared operatives were able to work safely with the knowledge that no services were present.
Solution
Anchors were secured to triangular slotted base plate suitable for M16 bolted connection. This made it easy to install, align and remove once project was completed.
