Lectogic - Solar PV Panel | Spirafix

Client - Lectogic

Lectogic and Spirafix have been collaborating on a number of smaller projects since 2022. As Lectogic expanded and diversified its installation portfolio, Spirafix was commissioned to undertake anchor testing at a site in the Monmouth area. The testing supported the installation of a small solar PV array on a client’s farm. All anchors performed successfully during initial testing, each achieving a load capacity in excess of 1,000 kg. Based on these results, the SF50‑10‑1050AC anchor was specified as the solution for the small solar PV array project saving both time and cost versus conventional piles.

Installation and Implementation

As this was Lectogic’s first project using 50 mm anchors, they sought guidance on the installation process and on maintaining precise alignment to ensure seamless connection with their frame. To meet these accuracy requirements, Spirafix designed and manufactured a bespoke pinned installation jig. This innovative solution ensured all anchor locations were installed precisely as marked, while allowing the jig to be easily repositioned for each subsequent installation point. Using the jig in conjunction with a string line, all anchors were installed accurately and securely bolted to the structure, delivering a reliable and efficient installation outcome.
