Client: Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk / Lafarge Tarmac
Client needed permanent anchor points in a public place. Anchors to be installed in town centre to be used for a variety of regular, temporary events including the secure anchoring of marquees for the weekly market place
Challenges
Installing through tarmac for a busy town centre and providing a solution for capping off the anchors to ensure public safety standards adhered to.
Solution
The SF50-10-1540 AC type spiral anchor was installed to provide 2,000kgs load rating. Pilot holes were drilled into the tarmac in order for anchors to be installed. M16 grub screws supplied to cap off the threaded head anchors when not in use.
